This resin detail set from the Quickboost line, made by the Czech manufacturer Aires, replaces the engine cowling of a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 fighter in 1:32 scale. It is the early variant of the Focke-Wulf factory cowling. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement part for getting the shape of the nose right.
The cowling defines the characteristic silhouette of the lengthened nose of the D-9 version. An accurately cast part makes it possible to render the correct shape of the early factory version without slow reworking of the plastic.
Wash the part free of mold release agent, separate it from the casting block with a cut and glue it with super glue. Level the transition to the fuselage with filler if needed and sand it back. Prime the cowling and match it to the surrounding finish of the fuselage.
This is a resin modeling accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
