The set is named after the tone Royal Purple. How many containers it holds and what volume they have is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Royal purple is a saturated violet with a warm base shifted toward red, that is the color one associates with a sovereign's robe or an ornamental border. It comes into its own on the cloaks and gowns of figures, on canopies and fabric elements of a diorama, on wizard and priestly figures and on the bold parts of fantasy armor. It also sits well with a gold accent, which stands out on a violet area with no further picking out.
Stir the contents of the container properly before picking the paint up; settled pigment at the bottom is normal in modeling paints. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are in the manufacturer's instructions and those take precedence, because a thinner from another range may curdle the paint into flakes. Violet shades tend to cover less well, so lay them over a lighter base and rather in several thin coats than in one heavy one. Let the surface dry between coats, otherwise the strokes lift and unevenness is left in the folds of the cloth.
The paints of this set are supplied. Brushes, an airbrush and thinner are not included, unless stated otherwise.
