Russian Air Force figures, a pair, set No. 8, 1:48 is a set of two resin figures of Russian Air Force personnel in 1:48 scale for filling out an airfield diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two resin figures of Russian Aerospace Forces personnel in 1:48 scale. The manufacturer keeps it as numbered set 8 in a line of figures tied to the deployment in Syria. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for a finished model or for an airfield scene.
This manufacturer's line of figures is based on photographs of Russian units deployed in Syria and covers both aircrew and ground crew. The figures differ from one another in what they wear and in how they hold themselves: the airman has a bulky flight suit and a vest, the technician working clothing and usually a bent back or outstretched arms. A pair of figures is enough to stop a scene from looking empty. They also give the model a yardstick for comparison.
Wash the 3D-printed figures in warm soapy water and cut the print supports away with a sharp blade, carefully around the fingers and the gear. Sand them with respiratory protection and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a thin primer as the base, paint the faces and hands with a brush and lighten the shades step by step, and finish the flight suit with a dark wash in the folds. Add gloss varnish to the helmet and the visor.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
