A resin airfield standing ladder for the two-seat MiG-29UB in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The training version has a longer canopy and two cockpits in tandem, so the ladder looks different from the one for the single-seater and the manufacturer makes it as a separate item. The set is printed in resin and belongs on the flight line or in a diorama; it is not an aircraft model.
The MiG-29UB is the two-seat training version, in which the instructor sits in the rear cockpit. Because it has no nose radar, you can tell it at first glance by the different shape of the nose and by the long canopy. Getting both crew members aboard calls for a ladder brought up to the aircraft, which the ground crew then take away to one side, so that it is not in the way when the engines are started.
Release the thin rungs from the supports carefully, best of all with a new scalpel blade over a working surface. Sand the marks with fine paper, wet and with respiratory protection. Glue the structure with cyanoacrylate glue on a flat surface. The metal structure tends to be worn down to bare metal, so it is worth suggesting chipping on the edges and settling dust on the feet.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
