The landing gear legs for the Su-25 1:32 are a 3D printed set of landing gear legs for a model of the Su-25 ground-attack aircraft in 1:32 scale, of a strong polymer with steel reinforcement.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the nose and main landing gear legs of a model of the Su-25 in 1:32 scale. The legs are printed from a strong polymer and reinforced with steel pins, so they will carry the weight of a finished model. They capture the extended position with the lines, the landing light and the mudguard rendered.
The Su-25 is a ground-attack aircraft built for the support of ground troops and for operation from field surfaces. The landing gear is therefore sturdy, with low-pressure tires and a pronounced mudguard on the nose leg, which protects the fuselage from stones and mud. The legs retract forward into nacelles under the wing root. On machines in combat service the landing gear tends to be dusty and muddy right up to the struts.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Glue the steel-reinforced legs into a joint that has matured and let the model stand after assembly before you set it down on its wheels.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
