The S-24B unguided rocket 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of a variant of the heavy Soviet unguided aircraft rocket in 1:32 scale for completing the underwing armament of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet unguided aircraft rocket of 240 mm caliber in the B variant, in 1:32 scale. This is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. The sharp edges of the stabilizers and the definition of the nozzle come more faithfully out of the print than out of a mold.
The S-24 rocket of 240 mm caliber was among the heaviest unguided weapons of the Soviet Air Force and was slung singly on a pylon under the wing. The B variant differs from the basic form in the composition of the propellant charge of the motor. The rockets were carried by ground-attack and fighter-bomber aircraft as well as by attack helicopters, typically against fortified and point targets on the ground. The external shape of both variants is practically the same.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
