Figures of pilots in the high-altitude maritime suit with a pressure helmet, 1:72 scale, set number 16 are 3D-printed figures from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of 3D-printed resin figures in 1:72 scale from Temp Models, carried as set number 16. The abbreviations in the name refer to the high-altitude maritime survival outfit and to the pressure helmet, that is to the gear for flights at great altitudes over the sea. It is not an aircraft model but the crew for it and for a diorama.
Flying at great altitude means that a pilot would lose consciousness within a few seconds if the cockpit lost its pressure. A pressure helmet is therefore used, which together with a high-altitude suit keeps the necessary pressure around the pilot. The outfit is bulky and unmistakable: the helmet has a spherical shape with a hinged visor and a hose runs to the suit. Over the sea, protection against hypothermia in cold water is added to that.
The parts are held only by the thin supports from the print. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks with fine abrasive paper and protect your airway while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay a thin coat of primer under the paint. The visor of the helmet can be suggested with a polished metal paint or with a drop of clear varnish.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
