An add-on cockpit set for a model of the two-seat SK-37 Viggen trainer in 1:72 scale. It is cockpit equipment for a kit you already own, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the maker CMK is intended to work up the cockpit of a model of the Swedish SK-37 Viggen trainer. It replaces the simplified interior parts from the base kit with an interior richer in shape. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that makes sense only once you already have the model in 1:72 scale.
The Saab 37 Viggen was a Swedish combat aircraft with a distinctive layout of a delta wing and a foreplane. The SK-37 version is its two-seat training variant: the instructor sits in a separate cockpit behind the pupil, which called for a change in the upper part of the fuselage and the glazing. Precisely because there are two positions, more of the interior is visible on a model of this type than on single-seat versions, and the difference between bare plastic and a fully detailed cockpit is conspicuous.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before the build and let them dry thoroughly. Separate the pour stubs with a saw or a cutter and level the surfaces with abrasive paper, ideally dry and with respiratory protection. Dry fit the seating in the fuselage repeatedly so that the halves can be joined without force. Use cyanoacrylate glue. Spray the cockpit with the base color, paint in the controls and the instruments with a brush, underline the depths with a dark wash and bring the edges out with a dry brush.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
