A set of three sheets of fine abrasive paper of P1000 grit from Tamiya. The paper is intended for the final finishing of plastic models, filled seams and the transitions between parts. It can be used dry as well as wet and is resistant to clogging, so it keeps its cutting action for a long time. It suits plastic, metal and wood.
For modelers who want a clean surface with no visible scratches. P1000 is a fine grade in the range of finishing papers; for polishing it is a good idea to follow it with an even finer grit.
Sanding does not replace degreasing the parts. When working wet, wipe the slurry away and let the surface dry before varnishing.
