A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range in a dark green shade to the RAL 6009 chart.
Responsibility details are not available.
Fir Green is a dark green shade that the name ties directly to number 6009 in the RAL chart. It is a saturated green broken toward gray, the kind used on vehicles and on building elements. The chart number is a great advantage here: you can compare the shade against any RAL swatch and do not have to rely on the name of the paint alone.
Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, so that the settled pigment is mixed through the whole volume. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and use the thinner made for this range. Apply in several thin coats and let each one dry; a single heavy coat floods the engraving and holds worse.
Wash and degrease the model before spraying; a primer coat will improve both the adhesion and the resulting shade. A dark green looks darker still on a small model, so it pays to play the areas up with a lighter cast in the middle of the panels. Always test the paint on a scrap piece of plastic and only then put it on the model. Clean the brush and the airbrush right after work, as dried paint is substantially harder to remove.
You will use the shade on military vehicles, aircraft and accessories for a diorama, wherever you need a dark green to the chart. It can be applied with a brush as well as with an airbrush, depending on the thinning you choose.
The thinner, a brush and an airbrush are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
