Woodland Scenics Goodbye People HO 1:87 is a set of hand-painted figures of people saying goodbye. The figures are finished and ready to be placed on a platform.
Responsibility details are not available.
A hand-painted set from the Scenic Accents line of the American maker Woodland Scenics captures a scene of parting: waving figures, an embrace, a last look after a departing train. The figures are cast from plastic resin, hand-painted and supplied finished. They are not assembled and not touched up with paint. HO scale corresponds to 1:87.
Parting is the most typical station scene of all and on a layout it works reliably, because every viewer understands the scene at once. The set belongs on a station platform, in front of a station building, at a bus stop or by a passenger car standing at the platform. Together with further civilian sets of the same line an occupied station comes about, one that comes across as a place and not as a model.
Turn the waving figures toward the train and leave an open area around them, because the gesture has to be visible. Place a pair together in such a way that their gaze goes to the same point; that gives the scene its momentum. Glue them with a small drop under the soles and sand the soles lightly if need be, so that a figure stands straight on the paving of the platform. The gloss of the paint can be unified with its surroundings by a very fine spray of matte varnish from a greater distance.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, terrain and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
