Grass Mat Cutouts - Brown Moor Fields are pre-cut pieces of Green Stuff World grass mat in a brown peat bog shade. They are laid onto terrain individually, so the growth comes out irregular and natural.

Unlike a continuous grass mat, the cutouts are supplied as separate pieces of irregular shape. That changes both the way you work and the result: instead of covering an area with one carpet, the modeler builds the growth up from individual islands, with bare ground left visible between them. That is exactly what real terrain looks like, where grass does not grow everywhere the same. The brown moor fields shade matches brown peat and heath areas, dry fields and waterlogged meadows after the season.
Brown growth is underrated in modeling. A green meadow looks striking at first sight, but it is precisely the dry and peaty areas that give a scene atmosphere and credibility, and at the same time they contrast better with the vehicles and figures standing on them. Combining brown cutouts with green areas also creates a transition between seasons and between types of terrain.
For builders of dioramas, layouts and wargaming terrain who want to compose their growth rather than cover with it. They also suit as a complement to continuous mats, whose uniformity they help to break up.
