Grass Strips 12 mm - Beige

Beige grass in the form of a continuous strip

A band of growth arranged in advance, with which an area is covered faster than by laying out individual clumps. The fiber length of twelve millimeters and the beige tone follow from the name. The dimensions of the sheet, the count of pieces in the package and the way it is fastened are not in the name, so they are not stated here either.

When beige is the right choice

Faded stalks match the end of summer, a period of drought and areas where water does not stay: field margins, embankments, the edges of farm tracks or dusty village greens. It serves in early spring scenes too, when the old grass is flattened and the new has not yet come up. In scenes from dry regions this tone tends to be the base color of the whole terrain and green tufts are added into it only here and there.

The procedure for seating it

• First lay out the area and only then cut the strip to size
• Vary the density, a continuous carpet without gaps looks artificial
• Mix a few darker clumps into the parched area for depth
• Cover the transition to bare earth with a fine scatter, so that no sharp edge arises

Whom the material will serve

It suits builders of scenes from North Africa, the south of Europe and late summer in the central European landscape. Players who build desert game tables will reach for it too, as will makers of bases under figures, where dry growth is to support the impression of heat and dust. Before gluing, try laying a piece beside a finished building or vehicle: only by comparison with the surroundings can it be told whether the growth is tall enough for the scene in question.
