A coarse blended mixture of gray shades, a 945 cm³ shaker. Large grains for scree, the embankments of large scales and stony terrain.
Responsibility details are not available.
When a large grain comes together with unevenness of color, a material arises that can manage the terrain by itself. The individual stones differ from one another in shape as well as in tone, so a finished surface does not look like scatter out of a bag but like stone hauled in from somewhere, from a quarry.
The strongest effect arises when you do not fill the whole area in the same way. Leave places where the stone gives out and the base shows through, and elsewhere create a build-up instead. An evenly spread layer looks orderly, and a real field of stone is exactly what that is not.
A loose load in a car needs different handling than terrain does. Put a piece of light material into the bed as a filler and only then pour a thin layer of stone on top and fix it. The car stays light and the load will look fully loaded.
With larger areas, consider how much glue the scene will ask for. A coarse layer has voids between the grains, which take noticeably more liquid, and a spot that is not soaked enough makes itself heard only at the moment when somebody knocks into it with an elbow.
The grains left over can also be used singly as boulders along a road or as a stone that has fallen out of an embankment into a ditch.
