A complete diorama base depicting an airfield surface in 1:35 scale. It is not an aircraft or vehicle model but a finished foundation for a scene with vehicles and figures. The base consists of several cast plaster segments of surface which can be laid together and extended, and it is complemented by laser-cut signs and their posts.
Its main parts are cast plaster segments with the texture of a paved airfield surface; plaster takes water-thinnable paints well and patina and grime are easy to create on it. The laser-cut parts make up the sign posts and various signs.
Clean the parts up and fill any cracks. The segments can be laid side by side and glued with PVA or super glue. Paint the surface with an airbrush, bring out the joints and the damage with a wash and imitate oil stains and dust with pigments.
The base is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
