A set of resin heads of orc robots for conversions of figures. A replacement for sculpting a head of your own from putty, with the same result on every piece.
Responsibility details are not available.
In conversions of combat figures it holds true that the viewer looks over the body only second. The first look goes to the head, because the mood, the kind of creature and whether there is anything living under the metal are all read from it. Orc robots stand exactly on this border between a machine and a creature, and that is precisely why the head is the hardest thing to sculpt.
Sculpting one such head from two-part putty takes an experienced person an hour and a half, and the second piece never comes out the same. On a band of six robots that turns into a project of several days with an inconsistent result. Finished castings remove this problem at a stroke: every piece has the same level of detail and the builder can concentrate on the poses, on the armament and on making the group look like one gang.
The set suits other torsos than those it was intended for as well. A head can be fitted to the body of another robot, to a walking machine from a different kit, or set on its own on a pile of scrap as a filler for a scene. Anyone converting several pieces at once will do well to try the turn of the head against the body dry, because even a small angle lifts or kills the impression of the whole figure.
