IONIC Copper: metallic acrylic paint (AMMO of Mig Jimenez)

IONIC Copper is a water-thinnable metallic acrylic paint from the IONIC modeling range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, intended for painting figures and miniatures. The warm copper shade imitates the sheen of copper faithfully and catches the light in realistic metal highlights. It comes in a flexible 20 ml dropper bottle with a metal mixing ball.

Use

  • Suitable for the brush and for the airbrush, thinned with water.
  • The metallic pigment is heavy and sinks to the bottom, so shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
  • It shows best on a smooth, evenly primed surface.
  • Apply metallic shades toward the end of painting, as they are harder to overspray and to mask.

Painters of fantasy, science fiction and historical figures and miniatures will appreciate it for a warm copper tone on ornaments, mechanical parts, piping or steampunk detail.
