Responsibility details are not available.
A yellow-green shade from the aircraft range of acrylic paints by the Spanish brand AK interactive, belonging to the set of colors of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force of the Second World War. The Japanese name Ki Midori Iro describes a green shifted toward yellow, that is a warmer tone than the basic green of the same palette. The paint is water-based, comes in 17 ml and dries to a satin, that is semi-flat, surface. The palette was arrived at through detailed research into period Japanese finishes, which is an important advantage with shades the sources commonly disagree about.
This is a water-based acrylic, neither an enamel nor a lacquer. It is thinned with the same brand's acrylic thinner or with water; solvent thinners meant for enamels and lacquers have no place in it and would curdle the finish. The consistency is ready for the airbrush, so in an airbrush it usually needs no further thinning, while with a brush you should apply it in thin coats. Yellow and green pigments settle at the bottom, so shake the paint thoroughly before every session. It goes off quickly and full cure takes about a day.
For modelers building Japanese aircraft who work with a coherent palette and want a shade ready to use. A water-thinnable acrylic with no aggressive odor suits an apartment without extraction and goes on just as well with an airbrush as with a brush.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Work in a well-ventilated space, use a respirator and extraction when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children and protect from frost.
