Flowering clover is finished growth for dioramas and display-case scenes from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene. It imitates a clover field or a pasture in full flower: low, dense and richly green growth in which small light to pinkish flowers appear. The material is neither sprinkled nor assembled; it is only trimmed and glued onto a substrate.
Clover is among the lowest and densest field crops, and that is exactly what the finished growth captures. The area has no tall stems like grain and reads rather as a compact green carpet with a fine texture of leaves and scattered flowers. In color it matches full summer — a fresh green with warmer accents. The pre-mixed coloring is the main advantage over single-colored static grass, which has to be toned afterwards.
It comes into its own anywhere a scene is meant to read as farmed: pastures, small fields by a building, the edges of country tracks, areas around farm buildings and even between the rails on a rural line. In a military diorama it serves as a fresh summer field contrasting with a dusty vehicle. Coat the substrate with PVA or thin white glue, lay the growth against it and press it down. Do not shape the edges to a straight line — an irregular transition filled with tufts of taller grass or weeds looks more credible. You will create worn paths and vehicle marks by pressing the growth down and dusting lightly with pigment.
This is a scenery accessory for building dioramas, not a model kit. The glue, the base board and any further terrain materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
