A modeling paint from the Tamiya LP line in the Olive Drab 2 shade, an olive green with a brown cast. Use the thinner intended for this line according to the manufacturer instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
Olive Drab is the basic olive green tone with a pronounced brown cast in which US ground vehicles and a large part of the aircraft of the Second World War and of the first postwar years were painted. The designation Olive Drab 2 sets this variant apart from other shades of the same family, because the real finishes differed with the production batch, the lot and the degree of fading. Modelers therefore reach for several close tones side by side and combine them so that the surface does not look uniform.
The paint comes from the Tamiya LP line and is intended for plastic models, resin accessories and photo-etched parts on a well prepared base. The suitable thinner, the thinning ratio for spraying and the recommended interval between coats are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the instructions for the line; stick to them, because another thinner may curdle the finish or attack the surface under it.
Wash and degrease the surface of the model before painting so that the paint holds. Apply several thin coats instead of one heavy one, otherwise the fine relief and the edges of the parts will be lost. On the small area of a model the shade looks darker than on a test sample, so try it on a piece of scrap plastic. More extensive areas come alive if you lighten the center of the panels slightly and leave the edges darker. Let the finish cure properly before the next shade or before the decals.
The model, the thinner, brushes and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
