The red-brown Red Umber Liquid Pigments Washes is a Lifecolor liquid pigment with which the tone of a surface is shifted toward a warm brown and areas sprayed from several shades are evened out.

This is a liquid pigment from the Liquid Pigments Washes range. The pigment particles are dispersed in a fluid, so the product is laid on with a brush much as a wash is, but once dry a fine pigment trace stays on the surface. The Red Umber shade is a warm red-brown, that is, the color of old earth and settled rust.
Toning versus bringing out detail
A classic wash has the task of flowing into recesses and bringing out the shape. A liquid pigment works differently: laid on an area and rubbed out to nothing, it shifts the tone of the whole area and at the same time leaves a matte sediment on it. That is exactly why it suits where the surface should look dusty and at the same time a shade warmer than it came out of the airbrush.
For modelers who work on vehicles, dioramas and figures in dusty and earthy settings and want the toning under control. It is laid on in weak layers and the intensity is built up gradually, so a modeler who is only trying weathering out will manage it too.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use so that the pigment is evenly dispersed. Work in a ventilated space and keep out of the reach of children.
