An accessory set of wheels for a model of the Italian Macchi C.202 fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale. It replaces the wheels from the kit and moves the detail of the landing gear closer to the real subject.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Macchi C.202, in modeling practice established under the designation MC.202, was an Italian single-seat fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Compared with the older Italian machines it received a slimmer nose and markedly higher performance, so it was among the best that Italian production offered during the war. It flew over the Mediterranean and over North Africa, where the dusty field airfields quickly left their mark on its landing gear.
The set of wheels in 1:32 scale replaces the wheels from the box. Wheels tend to be one of the most closely watched places on a finished model: they are down low, near the viewer's eye, and their shape as well as the pattern on the tire are clearly visible even without a magnifier. Exactly how the set divides the parts up and which kit it is tuned to is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The material of the parts is stated by the manufacturer, so go by that information: if the parts are not made of polystyrene, ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on them and super glue is needed. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so that the circular shape is preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Separate the hub and the tire with a mask or with patient brushwork; the transition should be sharp. If the tires have a flat from the load suggested on them, turn them toward the ground when gluing and check that the model stands on all its wheels at once.
This is an accessory for a kit. Paints, glue and other material are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
