The U-STAR metal sanding tool with a cutting knife combines an abrasive part and a blade in one tool for small adjustments to the parts of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A combined tool: a metal sanding tool complemented by a cutting blade. During a build the two operations alternate constantly — a part is first trimmed somewhere, or a mold seam is cut away, and right after that the place is sanded. Having both in one tool shortens the way between the steps and saves room on the bench.
When you will use the tool
With combined tools, care in handling matters doubly — the blade is sharp even while you are working with the abrasive part. Put the tool down so that the edge does not point toward your hand, and when cutting always draw the stroke away from your body. Cut in layers and do not try to take the material off in one deep pass: the plastic tears under the knife and you easily wander. After sanding, remove the dust, otherwise the base coat will emphasize it. A blunt blade is more dangerous than a sharp one, because it has to be pushed — as soon as the cut starts to resist, stop adding force and deal with the state of the edge.
Check the dimensions of the tool, the material of the blade and the grit of the abrasive on the box.
