A small funnel is an aid that saves a lot of cleaning up on a modeling bench. It suits pouring paint back into a bottle, filling bottles with thinner and moving the remainder of a liquid into a smaller container, where it does not dry out so quickly. The neck of a modeling bottle is narrow, and without a funnel the pouring goes drop by drop or beside it.
Rinse a funnel before first use and let it dry. Pour the liquid slowly, so that air can escape against the flow, otherwise the neck blocks and the contents well up over the edge. Rinse the funnel immediately after work, because dried paint comes out of a narrow neck only with difficulty. With more aggressive thinners, first check on a small amount that the plastic takes them; a set with several pieces lets you set one funnel aside for paint and another for thinner, so the shades do not mix.

The dimensions of the neck and the exact number of pieces are given on the manufacturer's packaging, so compare them with the bottles you use before buying.
