A special JLC miter block for circular profiles – round rod, tube and wire. Instead of a flat groove it has a prismatic (V-shaped) bed that centers a round profile and holds it firmly, so that during the cut it neither slips nor rotates. The guide slot then ensures an accurate perpendicular or angled cut. It is precisely with round material that holding is hardest – an ordinary flat miter block cannot hold it reliably, which is why this specialized block is useful. Made for JLC saws.
For modelers who cut round profiles – brass and plastic rod, tube and wire – and need a clean, perpendicular cut without deforming the end. The aid is useful when building dioramas, ship rigging and detailed modifications where the accuracy of the end matters. A perpendicular, straight end is important everywhere a profile is then glued or slid into another part – on masts, gun barrels, tube structures, hydraulics or antennas. The block prevents a tube from being crushed and the end from fraying, so the joint holds better and looks clean.
Made for JLC saws – a saw blade may not be included in the package. The teeth of the saw are sharp, so work carefully.
