A lacquer range for the airbrush: eight shades of Australian ground equipment, from the older single-color finishes to the patterned camouflage of today's vehicles.

Today's Australian equipment is recognized at first glance: over the base green tone run irregular brown and black shapes that break up the outline of the vehicle. This system is worn by ASLAV armored vehicles, by modernized M113 carriers in the AS3 and AS4 versions, by M1A1 tanks and by Bushmaster protected vehicles, and the set contains all three tones that belong to it.
Alongside them the package holds a shade for the vehicles of the patrol units operating in the north and west of the continent, where a European-keyed green would be useless. It is precisely on these vehicles that the camouflage differs most from the rest of the army, and without a special shade it cannot be imitated.
The irregular shapes can be sprayed freehand, but a cleaner result comes from masking with modeling putty, which leaves a soft edge behind it.
The remaining four reach into the past: the bronze green of the factory finish of machines of British origin, the overall green introduced in the 1960s, the olive tone of Leopard AS1 tanks and the light green of the interiors of carriers of American origin. With one set you therefore cover vehicles from the 1950s as well as present-day equipment, including the sand finish of recovery vehicles.
The range the paints belong to is lacquer-based and the manufacturer builds it for application with an airbrush. Compared with water-thinnable acrylics it dries faster and holds better on a smooth surface, but it calls for good ventilation and for cleaning the airbrush with the matching thinner right after work.
