Mr.Paint RLM 75 Grauviolett is a water-thinnable acrylic model paint from the Aqua line, the gray-violet shade of the upper surfaces of German fighters of the middle period of the war. It is not a kit but a paint for airbrush and brush.
Responsibility details are not available.
A water-based acrylic paint from the Aqua line of the Slovak maker Mr.Paint. It is a model paint, not a kit: it is supplied in a dropper bottle, sprays with an airbrush and can be applied with a brush as well. RLM 75 Grauviolett is a cool gray with a cast toward violet; it is not a green, even though the naming sometimes causes confusion.
RLM 75 does not belong to the early splinter camouflage with RLM 70 and RLM 71. It belongs to the middle period of the war, roughly from 1941 onwards, when the Luftwaffe moved to a markedly different palette on its fighters. The standard pair on the upper surfaces here is RLM 74 Graugrün and RLM 75 Grauviolett, while the undersides carry the light RLM 76. Typical subjects are the Bf 109 of the F and G series and the Fw 190 of the A series. The scheme usually includes the characteristic mottling on the sides of the fuselage and on the vertical tail, which is sprayed with an airbrush from a short distance with thinned paint. If you are building an early machine from 1940, this is not the paint for it, so reach for RLM 70 and RLM 71.
For modelers of German fighters from 1941 to 1944 and for anyone who wants a period-correct shade straight from the bottle. A water-thinnable acrylic will be appreciated above all by those who build at home and do not want to work with solvent lacquers.
A modeling paint, not a kit. Ensure ventilation when spraying and protect your airways; keep out of the reach of children.
