Tautening dope in a yellow shade from the traditional German modeling brand Graupner, in a 100 ml container. This is not an ordinary paint for plastic kits: tautening dope is intended for flying models with a paper or fabric covering, which it draws tight as it dries while coloring it at the same time.
Once doped, the covering of the flying surfaces and the fuselage shrinks and pulls taut, the pores of the material close and the surface takes on a smooth, stiffened appearance. The colored version joins two steps in one: instead of tautening first and painting afterwards, the covering gets its final shade straight away. Yellow is among the most popular colors for flying models, as the aircraft is easy to see against the sky and after landing in the grass.
For builders of free flight and RC flying models of classic construction, from hand-launched gliders and rubber-powered models up to larger scale models where the covering is paper or fabric. It also serves well when repairing older models covered the traditional way.
A flammable product. Work in a well ventilated space, away from sources of fire and out of reach of children. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
