NATO Green in a 17 ml Bottle

A paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive under the code RC886, 17 ml volume. It is the green component of the camouflage that became known in Europe under the abbreviation NATO, made up of three colors: green, brown and black.

The Real Subject

Green in this scheme covers the largest part of the surface and forms the base onto which brown and black patches are then drawn. The shapes are angular, with hard-edged transitions, and run across the vehicle regardless of its panel lines, visually breaking up large areas. The finish is matte and quickly turns gray in service, darkens around the exhaust, and disappears under dust on the running gear, so a model with no weathering looks freshly repainted.

Application Tips

• Spray the green first, over the whole area; the brown and black go on top of it.
• Transitions between colors are sharp; a shaped mask or masking putty helps.
• Apply masks only onto a cured coat, or tape will lift it when removed.
• Shake the bottle before use and thin it with the product recommended for this range.
• Apply in thin coats; one heavy coat buries the engraved detail on the parts.

Who the Paint Is For

For builders of military equipment in any scale who are painting a vehicle in NATO three-color camouflage. A brown and a black component are still needed to complete the scheme. Work in a well-ventilated room.

The package contains one 17 ml bottle of paint. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
