An accessory set for the model of the German Type VII submarine. The exact identification of the individual parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Type VII submarines were the most numerous type of German submarine of the Second World War and carried the main burden of the fighting for the Atlantic convoys. They were relatively small boats with a narrow pressure hull covered by a light outer casing with drainage openings. On the real subject the upper deck was covered with planks, and above it rose the conning tower, whose form changed several times during the war. It is precisely these details that decide how a model looks.
It is an accessory for a model of a Type VII submarine, which adds what the kit itself handles only in a simplified way. Which places on the model the individual parts belong to and how they are fitted is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them before you start work.
First lay the parts on dry and verify how they sit; any differences are easier to deal with before the glue goes on. Before painting, wash and degrease the areas so that no greasy film stays on them. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. The hull of a submarine can take restrained soiling: rusty traces belong at the drainage openings, the anchor and the edges of the superstructure, not over the whole side. Paint the waterline only after the hull has dried and run the masking tape along a straight edge.
The set is for modelers who are building a Type VII submarine and want to take it further than the base kit reaches. It is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model; paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
