Six oval magnets 105x70 mm for wide bases, busts and smaller diorama boards.
Responsibility details are not available.
One hundred five millimeters of length and seventy of width is an area under which the bottom of a bust, a multi-figure plinth or a small scene with terrain will hide. There are six parts in the box, which at a format this wide follows the practice of the whole group, where the count falls in proportion to the size.
An ellipse need not stay an ellipse. With irregular plinths it pays to trace the outline of the bottom onto paper, lay the template on the magnet and cut the surplus away. The leftover cuttings then find a use under smaller details of a scene, which otherwise slide about the display case.
A bust typically has a narrow plinth and a high center of gravity, so it tips over more easily than a figure in a lifelike pose. A broad magnetic bottom suppresses this failing and the bust stays standing even on a sloping shelf in a transport crate. It helps in the same way with plinths of heavy resin, which slide on a smooth surface.
Check whether the plinth has recessed screws or a post by which the model is held. Around such a feature a hole has to be cut in the magnet, otherwise the part will not seat and the joint will soon work loose. Make the hole rather larger than tight; the magnetic area is reduced only slightly by it.
Busts, plinths, steel plates and the tools for dividing the material are not part of the delivery.
It remains to add that a wide part is useful away from a collection as well. Glued underneath a plastic dish it will hold small screws and pins against a metal shelf, where they will not roll away all over the workshop.
