Ten oval magnets 90x52 mm for heavy models on large bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
With the 90x52 mm format this is no longer a small figure but a piece you notice in your hand. A resin statue, a mounted group with a long cloak or a machine on walking legs weighs a multiple of an ordinary figure, and the mounting has to match that load. An oval of this size offers an area over which the weight is spread.
The pack carries ten parts. With really heavy models it pays to consider two magnets under one base, placed symmetrically about the axis; the hold adds up and the base stops tilting about a single point. Ten pieces can therefore mean five well-secured bases instead of ten average ones.
A large part has to be glued down all at once. It works well to apply the glue around the edge and in a cross, then lay the magnet on from one edge and set it down gradually so that no air is left under it. A bubble under the center shows itself by the magnet bowing in the middle and lifting away when the model is picked up.
Stronger sheet magnets belong out of the reach of small children and pets, because swallowing a magnetic part is a serious matter. In a display case and in a workshop, on the other hand, they harm nothing except sensitive electronics, which need only be kept a little further off.
A steel plate or a box with a magnetic insert is supplied separately, as are the bases and the kits.
Finally, a piece of practical experience: before you glue the magnet down for good, stand the model on steel dry and move it gently from side to side. You will hear whether the base meets the surface over its whole area or only along an edge.
