PALE TAN

AK interactive Pale Tan acrylic paint, 17 ml

A single 17 ml bottle of AK interactive acrylic modeling paint. It is a water-thinnable acrylic, so neither an enamel nor a lacquer: it is thinned with water or an acrylic thinner and brushes are cleaned in water. The Pale Tan shade is light, sandy to buff, and in modeling practice it belongs among the universal tones that suit anywhere you need a faded, sun-dried color rather than a saturated pigment.

Use

• A base and a lightening shade on desert and dry-theater vehicles.
• Canvas, tarpaulins, straps, sacks and other textile detail on vehicles and in a diorama.
• Lightening darker sands and khaki tones for modulating surfaces.
• Painting light wood, cords and small equipment on figures.
• Dry-brushing to bring out the edges of worn vehicles.

Who the paint is for

For builders of military vehicles, aircraft and dioramas who need a dependable light sand on the palette. Light shades have weaker covering power by their very nature, so it pays to apply them over a light base or a primer and to build the color up in several thin coats. The paint can be used with a brush and, once thinned, with an airbrush.

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles. When spraying, use extraction or a respirator and ventilate the room. Keep out of the reach of children.
