Responsibility details are not available.
A hand-painted set from the Scenic Accents line of the American maker Woodland Scenics captures figures sitting and lying about in a park, an ordinary and unobtrusive scene from city greenery. The figures are cast from plastic resin, hand-painted and supplied finished: they are not assembled and not touched up with paint. HO scale corresponds to 1:87.
Sitting and lying figures are rarer on a layout than standing ones, and at the same time very useful. They suit benches, the grass, the edge of a sidewalk, the shade of a tree or a flight of steps. It is precisely restful poses that balance out scenes full of movement and give city greenery its credibility, because a park where everybody is only walking looks unnatural.
Try the sitting figures on a bench dry; the height of the seat differs between makers of models of street furniture and sometimes the packing underneath has to be adjusted slightly. Do not glue a lying figure in the middle of an open area but next to some element, a tree, a bush or a curb, as otherwise it looks as if it had fallen over. Glue with a small drop of glue at the point of contact with the base. The gloss of the paint can be unified with its surroundings by a very fine spray of matte varnish.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, benches, terrain and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
