A set of scenic figures from the American manufacturer Woodland Scenics with figures cast in a seated pose. The figures are finished, assembled and painted, so they are not glued or painted. Seated figures are rarer on a layout than pedestrians, and yet it is precisely they that make a scene calm and believable. You seat them on a bench on a platform, in a park, in front of a shop or on a low wall by a square.
Try the seating dry, because a seated figure has to sit truly on a surface and not merely touch it with an edge. A small adjustment of the base or packing it with a thin slice of plastic will go unnoticed. Glue with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Turn a group of figures toward each other, as if they were talking, and perhaps turn one away, so that the scene does not look arranged. You unify the coloring with its surroundings with matte varnish and a light dusting of pigment. Seated figures belong in places where someone has a reason to wait or to rest, that is, by a platform, in a park or in front of a business; elsewhere they look purposeless.

The figures are finished and painted; it is not a kit. They contain small parts and are therefore not suitable for small children.
