Pigment Fluor Coral Red is a loose pigment from the fluorescent range of the Spanish brand AMMO of Mig Jimenez. It is neither a paint in a bottle nor a muted weathering shade for ordinary patina, but a very fine powder in a luminous coral red shade, used where an area is meant to catch the eye. Fluorescent shades look saturated in daylight already, and under ultraviolet light their glow grows further still. The coral tone lies between red and orange, so it reads warmer than pure red and looks livelier on a model than the classic warning shades.
The shade suits modelers of racing and civilian vehicles, builders of modern schemes and anyone looking for a warmer alternative to ordinary warning red. The pigment is fine enough to be metered out over genuinely small areas, so it will serve on small elements too, where a brush with paint would be too coarse. The shade is saturated and unambiguous, so even a small area on a model will reliably draw the eye.
Safety and handling: this is a very fine powder. Work in a well ventilated room, do not breathe the powder in and open the container carefully so that the pigment does not scatter around. Store it closed, dry and out of the reach of children. Before working on a finished model, try the shade and the strength of the application on a test piece.
