Plastic Bases - Round 40 mm BLACK

Plastic Bases - Round 40 mm BLACK

A round plastic gaming base 40 mm in diameter, in black according to the name. It is a gaming accessory for tabletop battles, not a base for a display cabinet. The size counts under the rules, while the black color settles how the model looks on the board.

Why games are played on black bases

A black rim is visually unobtrusive on a gaming board and does not pull attention to itself. The model then looks like part of the scene even when the gaming mat beneath it is colored or printed. Black is also practical with larger armies: the bases look uniform even when the models come from different sources and were acquired at different times. A diameter of 40 mm is among the formats used under larger infantry models, but always check the specific requirement in the rules of the system you play.

When to reach for a bulk match-up

• When an army has models on bases of different origins and you want a uniform look.
• When you need to round out an expanded unit with a few extra models.
• When you want to keep a stock of one commonly used format.
• When you play on a colored mat and want a muted, neutral rim.

Who it is for

For tabletop battle players and collectors who are standardizing an army on one base format and one color. The plastic material, the diameter and the BLACK finish are given by the product name; the other specifications are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
