The set from the manufacturer MAiM brings self-adhesive printed warning signs in a postapocalyptic and zombie vein. The manufacturer offers it in a universal scale, so it can be put into scenes of differing sizes according to how large a single sign works out against the figures. The number in the name places it as the third large set of this range, alongside which further parts with other motifs exist. Check the number of signs, their wording and the dimensions of the sheet against the illustration on the packaging.
In a devastated scene the signs carry most of the story. A closed zone, a warning, no entry or a hastily painted-over notice explain a situation to a viewer faster than anything else, and at the same time they break up the monotonous gray-brown palette of ruins. They are placed on barricades, fences, doors, vehicle wrecks and on the walls of buildings.
The base must be clean and degreased. Transfer a sticker with tweezers, lay it down from one edge and only then press it home, so that it does not fold. On a profiled surface press it with a soft bristle so that it follows the shape. Once it is applied, knock everything back with varnish, otherwise the film gives away a gloss that has no place on an old sheet metal sign. Only then add the weathering: rust marks from under the bolts, dust and splashed mud at the bottom, rubbing along the edges. A sign that is tilted or shot through looks more convincing than one mounted straight.
The accessory is supplied as printed self-adhesive material, not as a kit. Paints, varnishes and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
