The dimension 0.50 x 2.0 mm corresponds to the batten a modeler needs every time the wooden boarding of a cargo bed, a window frame, the brace of a crate or the battening of a roof has to be suggested. Half a millimeter of thickness holds the shape and at the same time the profile can be curved into a gentle arc without cracking.
The advantage of a plastic material over wood is that it has no grain, so the edge stays sharp after cutting and the surface will not raise fibers once sprayed.
