Plastruct Profile I (H 3.2 mm, W 1.6 mm, T 0.6 mm, L 375 mm) is a styrene I-beam for model building, conversions and dioramas.

A styrene (polystyrene) profile shaped like the letter I, that is an I-beam, from Plastruct. The section is 3.2 mm high (H) with a flange 1.6 mm wide (W), the material is 0.6 mm thick (T) and the bar is 375 mm long (L). It is a modeling semi-finished material, not a kit. This small I-beam stands in for fine beams, stiffeners and frames on mock-ups of buildings, bridges and cranes and in dioramas.
The profile is parted with a sharp blade or a modeling saw and the cuts are leveled by sanding. It is glued with ordinary cement for polystyrene or with cyanoacrylate glue. The material can be painted like plastic models, best with a primer before the top coats.
For modelers and mock-up builders who need a fine styrene I-beam for modifications, conversions and building dioramas and architectural models.
This is a modeling material (a plastic profile), not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
