A styrene (polystyrene) section in the shape of the letter L, that is an angle, from Plastruct. The legs have a height (H) of 2.4 mm and a width (W) of 2.4 mm, the thickness of the material (T) is 0.6 mm and the length of the rod (L) is 375 mm. It is a modeling semi-finished product, not a kit. A small L section suits fine corners, edging and reinforcements of mock-ups of buildings, bridges, ships and dioramas.
The section is cut with a sharp knife or a modeling saw, and the cuts are trued up by sanding. It is glued with ordinary cement for polystyrene or with super glue. The material can be painted like plastic models, best with a primer coat before the finish.
