An AK Interactive modeling paint from the Real Colors range in the shade RAF Medium Sea Grey per the British standard BS 381C, reference number 637. A 17 ml bottle.
Responsibility details are not available.
Medium Sea Grey is a lighter, cool gray of the Royal Air Force, listed in the British standard BS 381C under reference number 637. From 1941 it was sprayed on the undersides of day fighters, complementing the dark green and blue-tinged gray of the upper surfaces. The fuselage code letters were often applied in the same tone as well.
The shade belongs on the undersides of British fighter aircraft from the later part of the war, and it also serves anywhere a clean medium gray with no shift toward blue or brown is needed. Because it is standardized, it works well alongside other shades listed under BS numbers, letting you unify a whole model around it. In the Real Colors range, it is joined by darker British grays and upper-surface shades.
Mix the bottle thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles to the bottom. Apply the paint in several thin coats onto a degreased, dust-free surface, ideally over a primer that unifies the absorbency of the plastic, filler and accessories. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for thinning, spray pressure and tool cleaning, and use the thinner recommended for this range. Light grays are sensitive to what lies beneath them, so level dark plastic or filler with a primer first, or it will show through.
The paint alone is supplied in a 17 ml bottle. Thinner, primer, a final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
