Green Stuff World Rolling Pin TripleHex, a texture roller

This is a modeling tool, not a kit. The roller is made of clear plastic (PMMA) with a non stick surface and carries an engraved pattern around its whole circumference. By running it over a rolled out layer of epoxy modeling putty or polymer clay you press a continuous repeating relief into it, a dense triple hexagonal pattern.

Use

  • Roll the modeling putty out into an even layer on a smooth base.
  • Depending on the type of putty, moisten the roller slightly so that the putty does not stick.
  • Run it over the putty with even pressure and press the pattern in.
  • Let the finished relief cure; after that it can be cut, glued and painted.

Who it is for

For modelers and makers of dioramas and gaming bases who want to create textured surfaces quickly and repeatedly. The dimensions of the roller are approximately 14.5 cm in length and 2.5 cm in diameter.

This is a tool; modeling putty and paints are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.

It carries a denser arrangement of three hexagon variants, so it creates a more broken up technical surface than a simple hexagonal lattice.

Depending on the type of putty, moisten the roller slightly with water. The clear plastic has a non stick surface, so the pattern prints cleanly.

No, the roller alone is supplied. Epoxy putty or polymer clay has to be bought separately.
