Paint Forge Round Stencils L – a universal stencil with circles

A universal airbrush stencil from the brand Paint Forge out of the Stencils range with a circular motif. It is offered in size L, to which according to the name a sheet of 14 x 20 cm corresponds, that is the larger of the pair of sizes available. It is not cut to the outline of a particular kit. You are buying a pattern, not a mask for one model, and you place it where you need it. The circle is at the same time the shape that is the hardest of all to do by hand: cutting it symmetrically and cleanly out of masking tape takes more work than the whole rest of the finish.

Use

• Lay the stencil on a dry and degreased surface and fix it with masking tape, so that no paint gets under it.
• Spray perpendicular from above and at low pressure. With a circle every pass at an angle shows up as an asymmetric shadow on one side of the perimeter.
• Apply two or three thin coats with a pause to let them set instead of one heavy one.
• Circles can be combined, overlapped and graded by size, so from one sheet you can put together roundels, hatches, vision ports and abstract patterns.
• Once you finish spraying, clean the stencil before the paint has dried on it. A dried layer on the edge of a circle tells on every further pass.

Who the stencil is for

It suits a modeler who needs regular round shapes and does not want to cut them out laboriously: roundels and markings, circular elements on science-fiction and fantasy models, hatches and vision ports, the decor of bases and scenery. A large sheet gives a greater range of diameters and more room while working, so it suits larger scales and areas as well. The smaller variant of the same motif comes as size M.

It is an aid for painting, not a kit. Paints, an airbrush and masking tape are not included in the package. Ventilate while spraying and protect your airways.
