Russian Green Surface Primer 100 ml — a colored AK Interactive primer

This is not a kit or a weathering product, but an undercoat paint. It is an acrylic, that is water-thinnable primer of the third generation range from AK Interactive in a bottle of 100 ml. The primer has a double task: it bonds the coat to the surface and reveals unfinished joints and scratches before the covering paint goes onto the model. Unlike a gray or black undercoat, this one is green from the outset, so the top coats need only be applied thinly and the color keeps its saturation.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom
• Apply in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush; a heavy coat drowns engraved detail
• Let it cure properly, and only then sand or mask
• It is thinned with the thinner for acrylic paints of the same manufacturer, not with lacquer thinner
• You will use the green shade as a base under coats of military hardware in eastern colors

Who the primer is for

For modelers who paint with an airbrush and want to save coats — a colored undercoat shortens the way to even coverage and suits techniques with worn paint as well, where the undercoat stays partly visible. It comes into its own equally well on plastic, resin and photo-etched parts, with which a primer is practically a necessity.

Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children. While spraying, work in a well-ventilated space and protect your airways. Wash the tools immediately after work, as dried acrylic is difficult to remove.
