An AK Real Colors modeling paint in the shade S.C.C. 1A Brown, a dark brown tone of the British camouflage system. For an airbrush as well as for a brush.
Responsibility details are not available.
The abbreviation S.C.C. belongs to the British system of camouflage shades from the period of the Second World War, in which the individual tones were marked with a number instead of a verbal description. Number 1A carries a dark brown shade. On a model it comes across as deep and dark, so it pays to reckon with the fact that in shadow it will merge into one uniform area. That is exactly why British vehicles are usually lightened from above, so that the finish breaks up legibly into individual areas in a photograph as well as in a display case.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. The paint is from the AK Real Colors range, that is an acrylic range that has its own thinner. The thinner meant for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging. Apply it in several thin coats and let each dry in between; one thick coat floods the fine surface detail and dries less well.
The shade will be appreciated by modelers of British vehicles who want a specific number from the camouflage system and do not want to mix it from memory. It also works as a dark brown base under weathering, for instance under layers of mud and dust.
The thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
