The five figures catch people of advanced age. A man and a woman lean on a walking stick, another woman uses a walker and two men sit side by side on a bench. The set therefore covers figures in motion as well as a resting pair, two situations that complement each other on a model.
Most sets of figures show workers, passengers and children, so an inhabited layout ends up looking younger than a real town. The presence of older people balances that at once, at a waiting room, on a square, in front of a surgery and in a park, where there are the most benches. The walker and the sticks also clearly suggest a pace of movement that differs from the other figures.
A model of a person is about twenty millimeters tall at this reduction, which corresponds to a ratio of 1:87. Seated figures need a bench of the right height, so try seating them before fixing them and, if need be, pack them up with a thin shim of plastic.
Do not set the group out evenly: the couple with sticks belongs on a sidewalk in the direction of walking, whereas the bench will take a corner with a tree or a wall behind it. A small detail that moves the scene on is turning the heads of the seated figures toward each other; even without a single further element it is then obvious that they are talking.
