A set of modeling markers focused on ships and decks. You apply the color straight from the tip, so you can follow individual planks and fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
A themed set of modeling markers devoted to ships and decks. A deck is the largest continuous area on a ship model and at the same time the most treacherous: sprayed in a single shade it looks like a board, although in reality it is made up of individual planks that never age in the same way. Subtle differences between the planks and emphasized fittings are what bring a deck to life.
The color comes straight from the tip, with no mixing and no airbrush, so it can be run along a seam and along a narrow edging. The set belongs among the markers for emphasizing and aging a surface.
Wash and degrease the surface first. Do not emphasize all the planks in the same way; regularity gives away that it is desk work, so skip rows and vary the pressure of the stroke. Always draw along the plank, never across it. Apply thin coats and let them dry, and only then repeat the coat. Try the shade on a scrap, not straight on a finished deck. The procedure for this particular set is given in the instructions on the packaging.
It suits builders of ship models and those who make harbor scenes and want to shade wooden surfaces without setting up a whole painting outfit. The package holds the stated set of markers; the model, further paints, varnishes and thinners are not included, unless stated otherwise.
