The silicone placement tool is a small instrument for working with small parts. The soft silicone tip attaches lightly to the part, carries it into place and separates from it once it is seated. That solves a situation every modeler knows: tweezers grip a small part too hard, flick it off to who knows where, and finding it takes longer than all the rest of the work.
It comes into its own above all when fitting small parts, where the part only has to be lifted from the bench, put in place and held until the glue takes. The soft tip is also kind to surfaces that must not be scratched or on which steel tweezers would leave a mark. It also makes work easier when a hand with tweezers will not fit into a narrow space.
Keep the tip clean and free of dust, since anything clinging to it reduces its grip. Wipe it with a soft cloth and do not expose it needlessly to thinners. Make sure no cyanoacrylate glue gets onto the tip, because once it has dried it can only be removed by damaging the surface. The tool is for placing a part, not for bending it or pushing with force.
Glue, tweezers and other tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
