A modeling aid with a silicone tip for picking up and precisely seating small parts. Kinder to a painted surface than metal tweezers.

Small parts are harder to place than to glue. A small part has to be brought exactly into position, set down and above all left there, and that is usually the hardest thing with tweezers: the part is held under pressure in their jaws, and as soon as the jaws relax it springs away. The placement tool works differently. The part is held on a soft silicone tip, it does not fly off anywhere on the way, and to seat it you only draw the tip back.
Silicone is soft and yielding, so it adapts to the shape of the part and leaves neither a dent nor a scratch on it. When you touch an already painted surface with it, it does not slide across it the way a metal tip does. The tip also does not clamp the part, so it copes even with a piece where the jaws of tweezers would have nothing to bear against. It therefore suits work at an advanced stage of the build, when the model is painted and you do not want to damage anything on it.
Put the glue on the model, not on the part. Then lift the part with the tip, place it in position and draw the tip slowly away, so that the glue takes the part over from the tip. Do not press; silicone calls for a light touch rather than force. Keep the tip clean and free of glue residue, otherwise it loses its grip; wipe it after work and store the tool so that the tip does not rest against a hard edge.
Anyone who works with photo-etched parts, small accessories and tiny components will appreciate it, whether they build military subjects, aircraft or figures. Glue, tweezers and other tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
